Who We Are
Hope for Kids is an initiative of Hope Mission Australia that aims to minister to, educate and feed children living in extreme poverty in developing countries of South East Asia. The Hope Mision Australia is part of The Hope Mission International (Misiunea Speranta) with headquarters in Romania (www.speranta.ro), and with branches also in Canada and USA.
We partner with local missions and Christian churches to foster children’s development spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially and economically. We are a small ministry with a big heart, believing that we can change the lives of children one by one. Our ministry is led by Natanael Costea (MA Pastoral Leadership) and his wife Raluca who have been working together in the mission field for over seven years. Natanael has been an integral leading member of the Hope Mission International team since 1997 and in 2005 he was appointed as its overseer in the Asia Pacific region. He is an evangelist and missionary, and can be invited to present the Hope 4 Kids ministry to your local church or group.
  
What We Do
Hope for Kids works with Christian development programs that addresses the children’s spiritual, economic, physical, social and emotional needs. We build and support kindergartens, schools, clinics, orphanages, leper colonies, micro enterprises, and together with local missions and churches we monitor the development of children from infancy to higher education or employment.
 
How We Work
Hope for Kids works in partnership with local missions and churches in developing countries; providing financial resources, training and expertise to assist in the operation of complete child development programs. We empower these local churches and missions to develop programs that meet the exact needs of the children within their local communities.
We raise funds through personal donations, church offerings and various community or sports group offerings. We have little administration charges (mainly banking and accounting fees) and most of the amount donated (over 95%) reaches the children at final destination. Our office is managed by volunteers and we have little overheads.
Where We Work
Hope for Kids currently works in several developing countries of South East Asia, including Indonesia, Cambodia, India and the Philippines. Over the years we have also undertaken children ministry projects in Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Sudan and Cuba, and we partner with Compassion Australia in its Global Food Crises project in Bangladesh.
