In Cambodia we have partnered with FirstKids Cambodia, an organization that provides education to pre-school children between the ages of three to seven, to improve the quality of life among poor and destitute children. We also provide English classes to over 200 students (ages varying) from the red-light district area. The aim is to provide these young people with some form of education and practical skills to open up employment opportunities for them. At the same time we aim to pass on Christian values to them so that their lives may be transformed. There are also three villages in the Kandal Province where we get involved in the development of skills for the young people. Most of the people are farmers and their children do not attend school. Here we teach basic English and Khmer, computer and sewing classes, and Christian values. We plan to establish three schools in this area and further develop the education and skill training of the children in this poverty affected area.
